Bio

In the fall of 2024 after the passing of my father, I decided to finally act on a long-time goal of painting and creating visual art. I took high school art, a college printmaking course, and briefly attempted to create a painting in 2013, but was disappointed in the result and didn’t try again for a long time. I have been a songwriter for a long time and enjoy creating a set of new sounds and turning inner feeling into audible sounds, but painting has been an even more satisfying and immediate cathartic release and method of communication. I typically am really excited with a piece in the initial stage, hate it somewhere during the middle of the development, am a bit dissatisfied and disappointed by completion, and after a few days pleasantly surprised and content and proud of how a piece turned out. I am very excited and pleased with what has happened so far and how creating art makes me feel. I am grateful to have been able to create what I have so far this year and am excited to continuing my journey with art, self-expression, and discovery.
